This screen allows you to view or enter the piece mark level information for this piece mark. The following information may be entered in the Piece Mark Information Window. ("*" indicates that data must be entered in these fields):
Qty Enter the quantity of the piece mark in this field. Material Enter the material (W12X40, L 3X3X1/4, etc.) information in this field. There is not any incorrect way of entering this information. The system will take what you enter. Description Enter the description of the piece mark in this field. Typically this is appears as "Beam, Plate, Angle, etc. Width Enter the width of the piece, if the width field is applicable to this item. To enter a width of 10 3/4" enter the numbers as 10 3 4 and press the enter key. The width is always assumed to be in inches. Enter zero of leave the field blank if there is not a width. Length Enter the length of the piece in this field. To enter a length of 10'-6 3/4" enter the numbers as 10 6 3 4 and press the enter key. For items less than a one foot in length, enter the number as 0 6 3 4 with a zero as the place holder for feet. The length is always assumed to be in feet. Wt Ea (Lb) Enter the weight, in pounds, of each piece in this field. Wt Ea (Kg) Enter the weight, in kilograms, of each piece in this field. COW Code Enter the cost of work or category code in this field. An example of a COW code would be Light, Medium or heavy steel or a code off of the purchase order when the job was issued. COW Qty Enter the quantity of the COW code in this field. Sheet # Enter the sheet or drawing number that this piece mark appears on in this field. Control # Enter the control number in this field. A few fabricators use this field for internal tracking purposes or sometimes place the purchase order number for this piece mark in this field. Color Enter the color of this piece mark in this field. On some jobs, the pieces are required to be color coded. Use this field for that purpose. Shipping Tag Enter the shipping tag information in this field. This is not the piece mark but instead, if the item needs to be tagged with a certain number, place that number here. Release Enter the piece mark release number in this field. This is not to be confused with the purchase order release number. Product Type Enter the product type in this field. You can use this field to track the shapes (W, S, PL, etc.) or the general category, like B for beams and C for columns. Batch Enter the manufacturing batch number in this field. If you manufacture your products in batches, place that number here so that you may be able to group your work and track it. Cubic Ft. Fireproofing Enter the amount of fireproofing for this piece mark, in cubic feet, in this field. Select the Ok button to leave this window and return to the Piece Mark Entry Window. |
